Business Analyst

Databooz is looking for a Business Analyst who will work directly with key stakeholders across the customers to understand existing and future business requirements, systems and processes to help define how changes to services can be successfully and consistently delivered to add value to learning, teaching, research and operational activities.

Duties and responsibilities

As part of our digital transformation we are focused on developing and building key relationships with our business users enabling us to become more agile in our delivery. As a passionate and driven Business Analyst your role will be to understand our business, through the analysis of requirements you will design solutions that will enable us to leverage our existing and new digital technologies, providing long term benefits.

You will work across the full project life cycle from inception through to completion and will gather requirements, analyze and produce detailed process maps, and deliver functional and non-functional specifications. As part of our ongoing transformation you will be key in successfully embedding change within the organization whilst encouraging and promoting best practice across the wider projects team.

Essential requirements

  • Experience of business analysis in a complex and fast-paced enterprise environment, using a variety of methodologies and techniques (for example functional specifications, use cases, business process modelling, data modelling, user stories).

  • Have worked in a range of different environments which make use of Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.

  • Experience of analyzing complex cross-functional business requirements, reviewing and improving business processes.

  • Proven experience in building strong relationships across complex organizations, stakeholder groups and partner organizations to enable the smooth delivery of business analysis.

  • Ability to identify, manage, and resolve conflict while building successful business relationships across a range of stakeholder groups.

  • Any experience with ERP system projects would be advantageous but not essential for the role

 

Communication skills

  • You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is able to engage, challenge and influence others, in order to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships across IT and non-IT departments.

  • High level, proven inter-personal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively within a team of IT professionals.
